Review to come...

NSI-Online:    Can you tell us a brief history and your project ?

Sabrina:  I was born in Belgium into a family of musicians, my mother an opera singer and my father, a violinist.  They both handed down to me the musicianship, voice, and drive so I decided that I would follow my dream and went for it.  My family comes from a very classical music background, I don’t.  I have always been driven by dark music, cloths, books, movies, dark, dark, dark.  But, with all the darkness in life, I’ve always believed that anybody can change it by not being a victim, “Don’t let people hurt you, do something about it” most of my songs are written this way.  I just wrote a song “Tell Me” it’s about how people stare or have something to say because I am pale and always black or just because I don’t fit in what they consider is normal.  What is normal?  Is there really such a thing?

I never really thought of myself as a songwriter until I started writing a year ago and now I can't stop.  I have already started writing for the 2nd CD.  The more grief I see and get, the more songs I produce.

NSI-Online:  When are you are going to release your debut CD.  Is it going to be by a label or self produced, and what's the date of the release?

Sabrina:  Currently my CD is self produced and it will be released in about 2 months.  I can’t give you the exact date at this time because I am at the mercy of the Manufacturer.  As for Labels, my Manager is currently meeting with various music lawyers to determine who will be shopping the CD.

NSI-Online:  How many persons are in your project? What are their functions?

Sabrina:  Actually, Sabrina is not band.  I write the lyrics and come up with melodies.  To form the songs that you hear, I collaborate with a very dear friend, Keith Pires who is a brilliant guitarist and also plays base.  Keith and I have a very simple way of writing songs, we get together in the studio, he comes in with some ideas I apply a melody, lyrics and we go from their.  After we get the feel of what the song structure is, we have his cousin John Pires gets to work on drums, and then it all comes together.  John also does all the production, mixing, and mastering.  There is an addition person I collaborated with on one song “Without A Trace”, and a cover “Nowhere Girl” by B-Movie, his name is Sypro Karagiannis, who is from Greece and he is an excellent Producer, he also plays piano, guitar, and bass.  I find myself extremely lucky to have such talented people on my side.  My manager is currently auditioning musicians for live performances.
